This place was awesome. My husband and I went there on a whim and I have to say we were thrilled with the service. The food was delicious, personally I had the lasagna and it was great. I did ask them to replace the cheese with regular cheese and ohhh did it hit the spot. They were very accommodating . Maya was so helpful and answered all of my questions. Despite explicitly categorizing themselves as a "Vegan Restaurant" on maps (see attached screenshot), this is a mixed kitchen that serves real dairy cheese (mozzarella, parmesan, goat cheese).My boyfriend had a severe, life-threatening anaphylactic reaction on September 4th from eating here because he is severely allergic to dairy and carries an EpiPen. The manager tried to downplay this medical emergency and brush it off by calling us and offering a corporate gift card to come back. We will absolutely never eat here again. Mislabeling a core business profile as "Vegan" when you handle allergen-heavy dairy products is highly misleading and incredibly dangerous for people who rely on plant-based labels for basic medical safety. They need to immediately update their business category to a vegetarian restaurant before another diner ends up in the emergency room. Bellona has always been one of our favorite restaurants, and we’ve come here many times for family gatherings, friends, and special occasions like Christmas and our anniversary. Unfortunately, today’s experience really changed our impression of Bellona.

My husband and I had dinner today and left around 7:15 p.m. We weren’t checked on during our meal, which we understand, and our main server was generally kind, so everything was fine overall.

However, when we paid, another server (wearing a brown shirt and green skirt, or vice versa) brought the card machine. She asked if I needed a receipt, and I said “No, thank you.” She didn’t respond at all - not even a simple “thank you” or “goodbye.” The complete silence felt very dismissive and uncomfortable.

We’ve always loved Bellona because of the welcoming and kind staff, so this interaction was especially disappointing. We don’t expect special treatment, but we do expect basic courtesy, and I believe an apology for this interaction would be appropriate. We paid $100 bill for two people and generous tips, and we definitely didn’t receive the service we deserve.
