Every Pronto meal is made in our restaurant kitchen — the same kitchen that serves our dining room at Jane and College — and packed up fresh the same morning. No central facility. No cook-chill processing. No preservatives to stretch a shelf life. Just real food, made today, waiting for you.
We’ve prepared and cooked everything fresh since the beginning — not because it’s a moment. It’s what Johnnie and Aggie have always believed in, and it’s what every single dish on this menu reflects. No exceptions. The whole restaurant. The whole Pronto line.

Our Story…
Every great meal starts with someone who refused to rush.
Long before there was a restaurant, there was my nonna’s table. The garden out back that never seemed to run empty. The pantry stocked with whatever was in season. The sauce that simmered all day — not because a recipe said to, but because that’s simply how long it needed. She never called it “plant-based.” It just was, most days, because that’s what was fresh, what was honest, and what fed the people she loved.
That table is where Bellona began.
A name older than the restaurant
Bellona isn’t a word we invented for a brand. It’s a real town, in the province of Caserta, in the shadow of the Apennines — the place my grandfather comes from, and the place his story, and ours, traces back to. When it came time to name what we were building, there was only ever one name that felt honest.

How exactly does it work?
Subscription — meals weekly.
Select 4, 6, or 8 meals from our rotating menu every week. Available for pick up or delivery every Tuesday. Skip or cancel anytime. *Meal selection email is sent a few days before your pickup/delivery to confirm your preferences for that week*
Single Order Pick up — no restrictions on quantity.
Order online and choose your pickup location — College Street or Jane Street. There’s no minimum and no maximum. Order one meal or twenty. Come in during our hours of operation and it’s ready and waiting at the counter. That’s it.
Single Order Delivery — we come to you.
Can’t make it in? We deliver within Toronto for a small fee. Place your order online, choose a delivery time that works for you, and we’ll bring it to your door. Same food, same quality, same scratch-made Bellona — right to your address.
Limited walk-in meals.
Walk-in counter meals also available daily while supply lasts — no pre-order required.
Reheat in minutes.
Every Pronto meal comes labelled with simple reheat instructions. Most pasta dishes take 3–4 minutes in the microwave or 5–6 minutes on the stovetop. Pizza reheats best in an oven on medium heat — 8 minutes, just like it left our oven. Salads are ready straight from the fridge.

Not an afterthought menu, and not a guessing game for anyone managing an allergy: full ingredient and allergen information is always available, so you know exactly what’s in every dish before it ever reaches your table.
